GOAz UPDATE - Keep the heat turned up on Senator McCain

Senator Flake announced that he will vote NO on the Manchin-Toomey amendment to Senator Reid's S. 649 while Senator McCain is a probable YES on the amendment. Contact Senator McCain as soon as possible.

Dear Firearms Enthusiast:

GREAT NEWS for a change – Senator Flake posted on his Facebook page that he will not vote for the Manchin-Toomey Amendment to Senator Reid’s S. 649 when it comes to the floor for a debate and a vote.

Thank you.  YOU made the difference.

The Amendment was scheduled for the Senate floor today; however, Senator Reid is scrambling for support. They are one (1) vote shy of the sixty (60) votes needed to move forward; otherwise, the Amendment will go down in defeat.

Time is of the essence. S. 649 could go to the floor at any time. We must prevent Senator Reid from reaching the sixty votes he needs to pass his ‘People Control’ bill!

Now to the bad news. Senator McCain is a definite maybe. If he turns to a definite yes, he could get Senator Reid to the sixty (60) votes he needs to pass the Manchin-Toomey amendment.

We must turn our focus to Senator McCain while thanking Senator Flake for his decision to vote NO on the Manchin-Toomey amendment.

Please call one of Senator McCain’s Arizona offices. Inform them that you want Senator McCain to vote NO on the Manchin-Toomey amendment.

It is very important that you contact Senator McCain and ask him to drop his probable support for the Manchin-Toomey amendment to S. 649. If Senator Reid reaches the sixty (60) vote threshold, the amendment will go to the floor and it will pass!

Again, Gun Owners of Arizona thanks each and every one of you who have taken the time to contact Senator Flake, turning him to a definite NO. You should pat yourself on the back and winning Senator Flake over to a definite NO.

Keep the ‘heat’ turned on Senator McCain. Let’s see if we can turn him next!
